The Embrace Center for Supportive Medical Care invites applications for Palliative Medicine Physician positions.

The Embrace Center for Supportive Medical Care provides specialist palliative care to patients in the Toronto and surrounding area.  We provide acute care, subacute care and community settings.

The successful applicant will work independently and whose responsibilities may include consultation and direct care of patients with complex palliative needs, and outpatient palliative symptom management. Our patients are at various stages of life-limiting illness journeys.  The applicant will help optimize pain and symptom management, quality of life and comfort, and provide whole-person centred care.

Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree or equivalent, and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.  A Certificate of Added Competency in Palliative Care (CAC), Palliative Medicine Subspecialty Accreditation, or equivalent training and experience is preferred.

Renumeration will be on the pay-for-service model.  The successful applicant will have autonomy to manage their patient-load and schedule.  Preference will be given to those seeking a full-time position, but applicants seeking part-time opportunities are encouraged to apply.
